The Company Overview screen is a quick way to see the status and trends of your company. You find it by clicking the Overview button, and selecting Company Overview. This will give you a quick view of your company's vital information. The data is pulled in from all the major parts of the system.

Above each section you'll see a graph icon. Click the graph to see a quick chart with details from that section. For example, you can view a chart of your Accounts Receivable, broken down as a pie chart. It displays overdue receivables for each aging period.

A helpful feature of the Company Overview is that after you see a summary of important data, you can "drill down" into each figure for more details.

Cash Overview - This shows the total cash in all your accounts. By clicking on the total cash, you can get a more detailed breakdown that lists individual accounts and their balances. From there, you can click on an account to see its balance from each fiscal period. You can also view all the transactions from that account, sorting the data as you desire.

Credit Cards - This shows the total balance of your credit cards. Purchases made by credit card are accounted for under a liability account. Each card has its own account.

Clicking on the total balance will bring up a list of all the company's credit cards, and their respective balances. From there, you can select an individual credit card account and view balances from each fiscal period, or a list of transactions.

Accounts Receivable - This section will show the total balance, which is all the money owed to your company. It lists your month-to-date receipts, month-to-date billings, and year-to-date billings. It also breaks down your accounts receivable by again period.

By clicking on the total accounts receivable balance, you'll see each customers balance, categorized by aging period. You can then click on the customer to get more specific details on what they owe you. This screen also displays the customer's contact information, making it easier to give them a quick collection call or email. You can write notes on any calls you've already made, in order to keep track of your contacts.

It's possible to drill down even further. You can view individual invoices to review the details on a particular bill, as well as any partial payments that the customer has made. If needed, you can reprint the invoice.

Accounts Payable - You can view the total accounts payable balance, which is what you owe all your vendors. This is also listed out by aging period, and it includes a forecast of upcoming payments due. One helpful feature is that it lists any available discounts for early payment.

By clicking on the total accounts payable link, you can see all your outstanding invoices, which are sorted by vendor. You also have the option of sorting your invoices by job, due date, and invoice date. You can click on any individual invoice to get more details. On this screen you can see the original invoice, including any partial payments you've made.

Sometimes you may wish to put a payment on hold. You can select an invoice and put it on hold. This will display a red light next to the invoice, and it prevents the invoice from being paid until the hold is lifted. You can also place a hold on a vendor, rather than just an individual invoice.

Profitability - This shows your year-to-date profitability, and allows you to drill down to see an interactive financial statement. From here, you can select any line item of the balance sheet to view more information. A spreadsheet button will export the entire statement to a spreadsheet.

Job Costing - This section lists all open contracts. The totals show total contract amount, billed to date, received to date, remaining to be billed, and remaining to be received. There is also a total amount of costs from all jobs. Clicking this total shows you every open job. From there you can see general details, a cost summary, income summary, income vs. cost summary, a bonding summary, and graphs. You can sort this information in a variety of ways, and print reports from each section.

The graphing tab compares costs, budget, and projected costs for each job.

The Job Viewer feature allows you to see countless details on any given job. You can view contract information, billing, markup, cash margin. You can view a cost breakdown, which shows each cost by type. You can see bonding details.

Viewing costs by type is an extremely valuable way to assess your expenses. In the job details, you can view every cost code that has been included in the job's budget. This will show you costs, change orders, projected costs, remaining costs, and the variance between actual costs and the budget. You can drill down further to see details for all costs associated with that code.

The financial tab will show you summaries for profitability, costs vs. billed, cash position, and earned vs billed. A subcontracts tab will break out all the subcontracts related to that job. Each subcontract displays the original contract, change amounts, and cost to date.

Payroll - This displays the total paid to all employees during the current year. Clicking that total will show you quarterly and year-to-date payroll. It will also break out federal taxes (and accruals), state taxes (and accruals), hours, and rates. You can see gross pay by employee, or select an employee to view a detailed breakdown of all money paid.

Equipment - This shows the total costs incurred for equipment for the current year. Clicking the total will list out all of your equipment, along with their year-to-date costs. Selecting a particular piece of equipment will show you details on all costs and rental income.

Purchase Orders - This shows total purchase orders, and clicking the total will show you purchase orders by vendor or job number. Clicking a specific purchase order will display details and reconciliation info for the order.
