Equipment Costing Analysis Reports
The Equipment Cost Analysis Report is the most useful report in the Equipment Costing module. This report enables management to look at current cost and quantity figures for each piece of equipment and compare maintenance costs with usage income. This analysis may also be used to determine if equipment leased to a third party was leased at a profitable rate.

Information in this report is developed from data contained in other modules of the accounting system. Consequently, the usefulness of the information is very dependent on the accuracy and timeliness of the information received from the rest of the system.

Equipment Costing Detail Reports
This program scans the Equipment Master file for pieces of equipment and cost categories that fall within a specified set of ranges. When an applicable code is found, all general ledger transactions for the code are scanned and those that fall within a specified set of limits will be printed on the report.

Equipment Listing
This program option prints a Master Equipment List along with all cost categories that have been assigned to each piece of equipment. Either a summary or a complete listing may be generated. The report generator allows a selected listing to be printed based on limits of class codes and/or Equipment IDs.

Equipment Cost Category Listing
This program prints the Equipment Cost Category Dictionary. A detailed listing of each cost category and all associated information is printed.

Usage Logs

All internal usage of equipment is entered using this program. This includes meter readings, rates, adjustments, accounts, comments, location and employee

Cost Categories

A dictionary of equipment cost category codes is created through this option. Codes in the Dictionary are used when entering new pieces of equipment through equipment master entry. When cost categories are added to a piece of equipment, the dictionary provides the cost category description and default values for the quantity, unit name, and debit and credit control accounts.

Equipment Setup

The Master Equipment File is maintained through the Equipment option. Each piece of equipment to be tracked must be entered through this program. Once a piece of equipment is entered, the desired equipment categories may be assigned and/or edited. Currently, a maximum of 99 cost categories may be maintained for each piece of equipment.
