Favorite Reports

The Favorite Reports feature enables the user to access a list of favorite reports from anywhere in the accounting system, all from a single, convenient screen. A new icon has been added at the right end of the toolbar which is located at the top of the main screen.

To use this feature, the limits and format of a report must first be specified and saved to the Favorite Reports list. Then the report is accessed from the list and changed and/or printed at that time. For specific instructions, please see Adding Reports to the Favorite Reports List and Using Your Favorite Reports.

Adding Reports to the Favorite Reports List

All the reports in the system use a common interface. To add a report to the Favorite Reports list, go to the report browse screen for the desired report. The Favorite Reports icon will be in the lower left corner. Please see the following screen.

Highlight the report to be added to the list. Click on the Favorite Reports icon, and the following message will come into view.

If the report has already been added to the Favorite Reports list, the following message will come into view.

Using Your Favorite Reports

To access the Favorite Reports list, press the Favorite Reports icon on the top bar of the main screen. The following screen comes into view.

Click on any column header to sort the listed items. This will be useful when the list of reports has grown.

User-Defined Report Title

This is the title of the report.

Report Type

The module and report type are listed in this column.

Remove Highlighted Report from Favorites (button)

By pressing this button, the highlighted report will be deleted from the Favorite Reports list. It will not, however, be deleted from the module in which it was originally created.

Select (button)

Press the Select button to select a report for printing.

Close (button)

This button closes the screen.

Highlight the desired report, and press the Select button. The following screen will come into view.

The accounting system will go to the module where the report is found and bring up the report screen. There is no option to Add or Delete the report. However, it is possible to change the limits of the report. Note: Any changes made here will affect the report when accessed directly through the module.

Report Title

This is the title of the report.

User ID

This is the User ID of the person who created the report.

Modify Date

This is the date the report was last modified.

Change

Press the Change button to change the limits and format of the report.

Print

Press the Print button to print the report.

Close

This button will close the screen. The accounting system will return to the previous screen.
