New Features in Version 9.2 (August 2009)

The Import/Export module has been enhanced so that:

Any “Previewed” report can be exported to a text file and immediately opened using a spreadsheet or word processor program.

The Overview Screens were enhanced so that:

The Job Overview screens now also displays Man Hours. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

DataView was enhanced so that:

The Preferred Edition of JobView allows the user to “drill down” on any line item in DataView reports.

When exporting from DataView to MS Excel, data may be exported as “raw data” or with complete report formatting, including subtotals, etc. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

Vendor ID for Invoice Generation was added as a field in the Deduction Listing. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

Payroll was enhanced so that:

The Certification Report may now be limited by Employee.

The Certification Report now has “List” limits for Cost Codes, Craft Codes, and Employees. This allows a report to be set up to include All records, a Range of Records , or a LIST of records.

The Union Fringe Listing, now has a screen to set the report limits.

The Payroll Posting Summary of Accruals Report now prints the codes for individual's Workers Comp and General Liability.

The End of Quarter FICA Report no longer includes FICA-Exempt Employees. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

The Employee File is updated with a “note” whenever the FICA-Exempt box is checked. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

When printing Quarter End Reports, the user can supply the Day of Month for employee counts.

Job Costing was enhanced so that:

All Job Costing reports may now be limited by Job Dates, including:
•  Job Entry Date,
•  Construction Start Date,
•  Estimated Completion Date,
•  Substantial Completion Date,
•  Actual Completion Date,
•  Contract Date,
•  Last Application Date,
•  Loan Date,
•  Loan Due Date, and
•  Last Billing Date.

When importing an Estimate, a filename may be assigned when the Preview button is clicked, if there is no filename or if the file does not exist. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

A “Key” of the symbols used in the Critical Path Schedule was added to the screen and to the printout. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

When viewing Jobs in the Job Setup and the Job Closing screens, they may be “tagged” by hitting the spacebar. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

During Budget Entry, the Vendor/Subcontractor fields may now be accessed regardless of the Cost Type selected.

A new version of the Job Cost Detail Listing can be printed, showing Labor costs summarized, but all other costs in detail.

Accounts Payable was enhanced so that:

EFT transfers may now be made to vendor checking or savings accounts.

The Taxability Flag may now be changed during the reconciliation of a Purchase Order. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

Accounts Receivable was enhanced so that:

Statements can be emailed to one or more customer contacts.

Statements may be modified to include the Customer's Phone and Fax numbers.

The Detail History Report now prints a Check Number in the “Paid by Check #” column for Invoices and for Receipts.

The Work Order # field was expanded to handle larger numbers. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

A Range of Jobs may now be printed while reprinting Invoices from the Customer Entry Screen. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

When importing invoices, the system can look up unit pricing from the Item Price File, multiply by the imported quantity, and provide a line item amount.

Purchase Orders were enhanced so that:

A new option in the Purchase Order listing now allows for limiting the printing of a Range or List of Purchase Orders. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

Data Import (for startup data) was enhanced so that:

When importing Inventory Items, Vendor Pricing may be included, along with the option of changing Vendor Pricing in existing items.

General Ledger was enhanced so that:

When Accounts Receivable Invoices are generated by the General Ledger Loan process, those invoices may now be “auto-numbered.” This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

Transactions may now be created directly within Bank Statement Reconciliation. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

When entering General Ledger transactions, line items are now displayed by line number, not entry order. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.

General Enhancements include:

An envelope or one-time label may be printed for any Employee, Customer, Vendor, Subcontractor, Job Address, or Contact (in the Contact Manager.)

All “Dollar Amount” fields were expanded to handle volumes in excess of $1 Billion.

Transaction “notes” may now be printed on any report that itemizes transactions: GL Transaction Listings, Job Cost Detail Listings, Equipment Detail Listings, etc. This suggestion came from the San Antonio User Conference.
