New Features in Version 7.1 (April 2007)

DataViewT/FormMaker was enhanced so that:

When printing the Title of a Subtotal, the name of the field is printed also.

Certain fields are now marked as “Executive” fields in payroll reports and may be excluded from printing.

Fields containing Job Name, Project Manager, Superintendent, and Salesman fields were added to Accounts Receivable DataView Reports.

User Defined fields for Jobs were added to the Accounts Receivable Job Status Report.

The Customer Contact field from the Job Header file was added to FormMaker A/R Invoices.

Accounts Receivable was enhanced so that:

Navigation in the Receipts Entry screen was improved.

When setting up a custom logo for an Invoice, the options now include: No Logo and No Company Information, which is useful for printing on pre-printed letterhead.

When doing a Draw, the option of creating and printing Text line items has been added.

The Reference Number column has been added to the History Listing.

When looking up jobs from Receipts entry, the job lookup window is now limited to jobs assigned to the selected customer.

Accounts Receivable Statements now have the abililty to print Customer Names containing a semicolon in reverse order. For example, if the Customer Name is entered as “ Jennings ; Walter B.,” it will print as “Walter B. Jennings.”

The Blank Page Format of Trade Invoicing will now print the Job Name also.

Project Manager has been added as a “limit” to Aging and History reports.

Accounts Payable was enhanced so that:

“Additional Expirations” was added to the Vendor Listing report.

The 1099-INT Form (Interest) was added.

A 1099-INT on-screen preview was added.

The drop down field for 1099 printing in Vendor Entry was simplified.

During an Instant Check, Co-payee may be added.

There is a new of method of making payments with a credit card that credits the payment to the vendor while creating an Open Item for the credit card.

During check printing, an electronic file may be created to send to the bank, listing Check #, Amount, and Payee.

Job Costing was enhanced so that:

Bonding Reports may be printed by Department.

The Job Cost Summary Work in Progress report may include a Change Order Summary and Notes.

The Job Cost Detail Listing and the Cost vs. Budget format of the Job Cost Analysis report now includes a Percent of Total Cost column.

A new option allows the user to determine whether the Description field in the Job Cost Detail Listing report should be “wrapped” onto two lines.

Payroll was enhanced so that:

The Help File has a comprehensive explanation of how to set up direct deposits.

A new warning automatically comes to screen that Form 941 should be printed before performing the payroll year-end transfer.

The Employee screen now displays the employee name with last name first.

The Recalculate Payroll utility also recalculates information for prior years.

The Payroll Vacation accrual account may be set up as a General Ledger Account or as a Job cost Code.

A new warning automatically comes to screen if timesheets are to be posted for employees who have been marked Inactive.

Inventory was enhanced so that:

The Customer Price Level is now included in the Inventory Profitability report.

The Cost Code field is now included in the Inventory Item Import.

When doing Inventory Adjustments, the Unit Name is displayed onscreen.

Sales Orders were enhanced so that:

Purchase Orders may be generated from Sales Order screen.

Purchase Orders were enhanced so that:

During PO entry, a Vendor's predefined General Ledger account will be used as the default distribution account.

General Ledger was enhanced so that:

Bank Reconciliation includes the ability to reconcile a credit card account.

A new warning appears before GL Transactions may be purged, warning that this process will result in a "LOCKED FISCAL PERIOD."

The "Maintain Cost to Date in Control Accounts" option in Year End Closing was simplified.

The Year to Date column may be omitted when printing an Income Statement.

A new checkbox allows a Fiscal Period record to be identified as a Year-End Closing Period.

In Fiscal Period screen, a single keystroke (co called ”Shortcut Keys” or “Hotkeys”) can be used to "Set as Current Period" and "Insert Multiple Periods."

Other Enhancements included:

The ability to import Price Levels when importing Inventory Items.

A warning now appears between the time the button to Create a New Company is pressed and the time the New Company screen appears.

Getting closer to the “paperless office” strategy, scanned images of documents (bitmaps or PDFs) may be attached to individual invoices, receipts, etc.

The warning now comes to screen when a Company Name is changed, indicating that new company warnings will begin appearing on screen.
