New Features in Version 23.0 (April 2023)

Payroll

When the Social Security Number is entered for a new employee, JobView will check for a duplicate SSN in other employee records. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

When importing timesheets, a new warning will pop up if there is an “over budget” or “overuse” of time off.

A new utility now enables “quick editing” of the Time Off Available numbers for many employees.

The State Section of Electronic W-2s now handles the “special requirements” of the State of Utah.

The State End of Quarter Report now includes Wages Subject to SDI.

In the User Menu Access Settings, the checkbox that says “View Wage/Rate Information” has been modified to read, “View Wages, Rates & SSN.” Users without that box checked will not be able to view employee Social Security Numbers.

When an employee is paid a cash fringe, on the multi-rate paycheck stub it now labels the pay as "Cash Fringe" and includes the number of hours and the rate, if applicable.

When viewing a historical pay period through Employee Entry on the History tab, the user can now view all information for every timesheet detail line item.

Accounts Payable

When selecting an invoice for payment, a new warning will pop up if a previous Lien Release has not been returned. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

Posted Invoice Analysis reports now print the count of how many invoices are included on the listing.

When setting up the parameters for the Account Reconciliation File Export, the Bank Routing Number may now be included in the export file.

When printing the 1099 forms, it is now possible to specify whether to include the "Account Number."

The AP Check Register now has a Running Total column.

The AP Check Register limit window now gives the option to omit voided checks from the listing.

When adding a Note to a Vendor record, a new setting allows that note to pop up when this vendor is being selected in Purchase Order Entry. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

In the Select Invoices for Payment window, job invoices now display the Job ID AND the Cost Code.

On the Invoice History tab in Vendor Entry, the list of invoices now gives an indication if there were multiple payments made against the invoice.

When charging an AP Invoice line item to a cost code, the invoice detail will now inherit the unit price (if any) from the cost code budget.

Accounts Receivable

A new tab on the Update Contractor Draw window now displays a preview of what the printed Cover Sheet will look like.

Aging and History reports now include counts of how many invoices and receipts are included on the listing.

When filtering an AR Statement by Job, JobView will now include a receipt, even if it has no Job ID or a different Job ID, as long as a portion of the receipt was applied to the desired job.

When adding a Note to a Customer record, a new setting allows that note to pop up when this customer is being selected in Job Setup.

The user can now opt to omit the Architect Certification section of the Draw Request cover sheet.

Job Costing

When typing characters into a Job ID field, JobView is now more specific in retrieving desired jobs by Job ID or by Job Name.

It is now possible to create a list of Default Cost Code Budgets that will automatically load when creating a new job. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

In Job Setup on the Certification tab, it is now possible to specify a different Job Name (different from the normal Job Name) to be printed on the Certification report. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

When selecting a Customer in Job Entry, if the Tax Exempt box is checked, the Tax Exempt box on the Job will be checked as well. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

The Job Cost Detail Listing can now be filtered by Vendor.

The Job Cost Analysis report limit window now has an expanded limit setting for printing cost codes with zero costs.

General Ledger

In Bank Statement Reconciliation, it is now possible to delete prior reconciliations.

Purchase Order

The Purchase Order Listing may now be filtered by "Reconciled With Pack Slip Status."

Added "Will Call" as an option when selecting a Purchase Order Ship To Address.

Added the "Vendor Catalog" field to the list of things that can be imported into Purchase Order Detail.

Sales Order

It is now possible to define the number of decimal places for on screen entry of Unit Prices in Price Quotes and Sales Orders.

Equipment Costing

When setting up a piece of equipment, it is now possible to select an Operator Employee ID from the Employee List thus linking that employee to a piece of equipment. As a result, when entering a Usage Log for the piece of equipment, JobView will automatically fill the Employee field with the designated Operator Employee ID.

Inventory

The Inventory Valuation report now gives the user the option of basing that valuation on two different versions of "Average Cost."

A new setting on the Inventory History report allows the report to be run with "Totals Only."

When creating adjustments from a physical inventory recount, the user can manually specify the transaction date for the adjustments.

DataView

When changing the attributes of a DataView report, the report type (Employee listing, Vendor Listing, Timesheet Detail etc.) is now displayed in the window title bar.

The State from the Job Header file was added to the DataView Job Costing views. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

The Vendor DBA Name field was added to the DataView General Ledger Check Register view. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

FormMaker

The Add button for adding a new form to the FormMaker browse window now allows the user to either create a form from scratch or to browse and find a FormMaker report stored in a different folder.

General

A new setting allows each user the option of requiring confirmation when Canceling a data entry window. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

JobView now exports reference information for the interface with busybusy timekeeping software.

The administrator can now set limits on who may access the new "Fix" buttons on the Balance Back Overview. This was a suggestion from a recent User Conference.

External Customer ID added as an available field when importing Jobs.

On the JobView Login window, the user can now select from a drop-down list of companies they have recently logged into.

The user can now view the Posting Report PDF when viewing details of a posting from the View Postings and Backups menu option.
