New Features in Version 15.0 (December 2014)

General Enhancements

When creating compressed data file backups, the system now copies the most recent backup and updates only the files that have changes, greatly increasing the speed of making compressed backups.

New To-do List system lets individual users create to-do items and mark them off as they are completed.

Added a series of Reminders for various portions of the system. The user can set up which reminders will show up (including to-do list items), and at what level of detail.

When printing notes, the user can tag the notes to be printed or filter the notes to be printed by date.

The user can now determine the display order of the menu icons on the main icon bar in Setup > Preferences.

The options to Insert/Change/Delete records during record lookup, which were removed in a prior upgrade have now all been reinstated.

When creating new report limits, the Readability Bar default color is now always set to green, even though the Readability Bars box is not checked by default. User Conference Suggestion.

Job Costing

When looking up budgets, the Current Budget and Cost to Date figures are displayed. User Conference Suggestion.

The user can now drag attachments from Windows Explorer directly into the change order entry window to attach documents to a change order. User Conference Suggestion.

In the Quick Budget Entry window, the user can now enter a quantity and a Vendor ID. User Conference Suggestion.

Accounts Payable

When looking up budgets from Accounts Payable Invoice Entry, ‘L’abor codes are omitted from the list by default.

The user can now set a default credit card account by batch in AP Invoice Batch Setup. User Conference Suggestion.

A new tab for Purchase Order history has been added to the Vendor Entry window.

During Vendor Entry, the system now warns the user if they indicate the vendor needs to receive a 1099 form but neglect to enter the vendor’s federal ID number. User Conference Suggestion.

During 1099 Printing, the system includes the vendor’s federal ID number in the browse window showing vendor payments for the year. User Conference Suggestion.

When importing AP Invoices prepaid by credit card, the credit card account can now be imported.

Individual subcontracts viewed in the Subcontract On-Screen Review now load MUCH FASTER. User Conference Suggestion.

Accounts Receivable

Notes can be added to an AR Invoice added after the invoice has already been issued. For example, the user may add collection notes to an invoice and reprint it. User Conference Suggestion.

Payroll

Printing W-2 forms and generating electronic W-2 submission file can now be done in one step.

When printing employee history, the user can tag the history entries to be printed or filter the history entries to be printed by date.

The FICA Quarter End Report now detects large differences between calculated and withheld Social Security amounts and gives instructions to the user for remedying the problem.

The system now saves the User ID of the current user for all payroll history entries. User Conference Suggestion.

General Ledger

The user can press a new button to print the Financial Statement during Financial Statement Design.

The window for entering Fixed Assets has been combined with the window for Equipment setup. User Conference Suggestion.

Electronic File Cabinet

PDFs of checks paid to Employees and Vendors are now included in the File Cabinet. User Conference Suggestion.

The File Cabinet now loads much faster.

The user can indicate whether the system should create alphabetic sub-folders for large databases.

The user can indicate whether the File Cabinet should be opened with all drawers initially expanded.

File Cabinet settings are now stored BY USER, meaning that each user can customize their file cabinet viewing options.

Equipment Costing

The window for Equipment setup has been combined with the window for entering Fixed Assets. User Conference Suggestion

Inventory

The Inventory History report now calculates MUCH FASTER.
