New Features in Version 14.2 (August 2014)

General Ledger

You can now assign a different AP and Payroll check format for each GL Checking Account. User Conference Suggestion.

On GL Posted Transaction and Detail By Account listings, the user can now specify whether to wrap long transaction description lines. User Conference Suggestion.

After a GL Instant Check is created, the user can now change the payee name. User Conference Suggestion.

The expanded GL Transaction description for all transaction detail reports and DataView listings has been standardized.

Accounts Payable

Added ability to import pre-paid Accounts Payable Invoices.

In AP Invoice Entry, when you pick a credit card account for a pre-paid by credit card invoice, name of the account is displayed on the window.

When creating a new vendor by copying from the Employee file, the vendor name is now created with a semicolon for sorting purposes (e.g. Hanson; Jason Keene). User Conference Suggestion.

A new column for Discount Amount has been added to the Invoice Payment Selection list of invoices. A new checkbox has been added to the Payment Selection Window to allow the list of invoices to include only invoices with available discounts.

Accounts Receivable

Added ability to import pre-paid Accounts Receivable Invoices.

Added a FormMaker (user-definable) version of the Draw Cover Sheet.

The External Customer ID field is now an available field on FormMaker AR Invoices.

Increased the size of the Terms Description field on the terms tab in the customer record.

After printing Customer Statements, the Statements Limit Browse window now reappears. User Conference Suggestion.

When emailing an Invoice from the Print Preview, if the customer has multiple contact names with email addresses, the program lets you pick one or more contacts to whom the invoice should be emailed.

Payroll

Added the ability to perform a mass update for raises for union employees. Now you don’t have to go into individual employees to change pay rate. User Conference Suggestion, Winner of contest.

In the Certified Payroll reporting, added the Wage Decision Number field to the Statement of Compliance form DD879. Also increased the size of the screen print mask for the Contract Number field to the full 25 digits.

On the Earnings Detail Report, added the option to print each employee on a separate page.

A new safety mechanism in Timesheet Entry prevents a timesheet created by the Automatic Voiding process from being inserted into a batch which already contains a timesheet for that employee.

When you turn off Direct Deposit for an employee, the system gives you the option of also turning off any direct deposit deductions.

Job Costing

Added a column to Job Setup list box that indicates whether the job is a Certified job. User Conference Suggestion.

Added a column to Job Setup list box for Contract Amount. User Conference Suggestion.

The Bonding Report now has a safety mechanism. When printing a report reflecting data from a range of dates or fiscal periods, the report will prevent the user from providing an "Effective Date" that falls outside the selected date or fiscal period range. User Conference Suggestion.

The window for Changing Job Parameters (from the Job Setup window or the Bonding Report Printing window) now includes the Total Budget figure for the job. User Conference Suggestion.

When the user adds a new budget line item or changes the values of an existing one, the User Activity Log receives an entry detailing the changes.

Job Summary, Bonding, and Job Cost Analysis report now have the option of replacing the Estimated Total Cost figure with the Total Current Budget for the job.

Equipment Costing

Added the ability to apply ALL equipment categories in the dictionary to ALL pieces of equipment.

Sales Order

File names of system-generated Price Quotes and Sales Orders are now unique using the Document Number and Company Name. This makes the PDF more understandable for the recipient. For example, the PDF Filename for a price quote might be "Price Quote 9945 from Sample Construction Company.pdf."

Purchase Order

Vendor email address is now filled in automatically in the email program when you click the Send Email button in the Print Purchase Order preview.

Added a more user-friendly way of picking check formats in Accounts Payable and Payroll setup. The program now shows pictures of the available check formats.

Added Central African Franc (CFA 100.45) as a currency option in Miscellaneous Setup.

File Cabinet

On the Attachment Browse list, added the ability to sort attachments by clicking on column headers. Also added a Date column.
