ListView

The ListView feature allows the user to output listed information in a handful of useful formats. This option can be found in the accounting system anywhere multiple items are listed. For example: The list of Customers in Accounts Receivable, the list of Transactions in any of the General Ledger Transaction Batches.

If the ListView feature is available for a list of information, a Golden Arrow will be visible in the lower left corner of the screen as in the following example.

Press the Golden Arrow and the following screen will come into view.

Send To

Printer (radio button)

Select this option to send the list contents to a printer.

File (radio button)

Select this option to send the list contents to a file.

Email (radio button)

Select this option to send the list contents to a specific email address in one of the listed formats.

FTP (radio button)

This option is not available at this time.

Clipboard (radio button)

Select this option to send the list contents to the Windows clipboard to be pasted into another program.

Document Format

HTML (radio button)

Select this option to send the list to an html document.

Excel (radio button)

Select this option to send the list to an Excel Spreadsheet.

Word (radio button)

Select this option to send the list to a Word Document,

CSV (radio button)

Select this option to send the list to a Comma Separated Value text file.

General Options

The options displayed depend on the format chosen.

Preview After Save (check box)

This option is available for all formats. Select this option to open a preview of the list in the selected format.

Width (in pages) of Report

This option is only available if Printer is selected in the Send To box. Indicate whether the system should determine how many pages wide the report should be, or indicate the number of pages by hand.

Suppress Green Bar (check box)

This option is only available for the HTML format. If this option is selected, the list will be displayed in an all white table. Leave this option unselected to have alternating gray and white rows of information.

Suppress Column Headers (check box)

If this option is selected, the list will be displayed with no titles at the top of the columns.

Delimiter

If this is to be a delimited text file, indicate the character that should delimit the fields in the record. The default is a comma (,).

Start Column

Enter the letter of the column where information should be entered.

Start Row

Enter the row number where information should be entered.

Template

Enter the filename of an Excel template or press the lookup button and browse for the template.
